Panerai Luminor PAM01731 & Destro PAM01732: Heritage-Inspired 44mm Divers at Watches & Wonders 2026
Panerai Delivers Heritage in a Smaller Package with PAM01731 and PAM01732

At Watches & Wonders Geneva 2026, Panerai unveiled a pair of heritage-inspired Luminor models that bring the proportions of the historic 6152/1 cushion-shaped case into a more wearable 44mm format. The Panerai Luminor PAM01731 and Luminor Destro PAM01732 both draw from the brand's military dive watch archive while offering modern sizing.
A Nod to the 1960s Marina Militare
The Luminor collection is currently available in 47mm, 44mm, and 40mm sizes. By positioning these two releases within the 44mm family, Panerai is giving its most popular size a stronger connection to its history. The case is polished throughout, with the exception of the crown guard, which is brushed. Square lugs feature screws to hold the spring bars, while the open caseback features a sapphire window to view the manual-wind movement.

The Destro Concept Explained
The Destro PAM01732 marks Panerai's second Luminor with a left-side crown in 44mm size. Panerai originally supplied its reference 6152/1 in the 1960s to Italian Navy frogmen who wore diving instruments on their left wrists and watches on their right. Switching the crown side made it easier for them to set timing before missions. Some divers today prefer destro watches on their left wrist, as the crown won't dig into the wrist during activity.
