Chapter Rings: The Missing Piece

A chapter ring sits between the dial and crystal, carrying minute markers. It frames the dial and completes the build — but only if sized correctly.

What It Does

  • Carries minute track: numerals or tick marks around the edge
  • Fills the gap: covers the space between dial edge and case rehaut
  • Adds depth: layered look between dial and crystal

Sizing

Chapter rings are matched to case model and dial diameter — an SKX007-style ring won't fit a 39mm case. Match inner diameter to your dial, outer to your case.

Installation Notes

  • Rings sit loosely on the movement spacer or dial — no adhesive needed in most builds
  • Check alignment with the date window before closing the case

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need one?
If your dial lacks a minute track, yes — it completes legibility. Some clean dials intentionally skip it.

Chapter ring vs rehaut?
The rehaut is part of the case; the chapter ring is a separate removable piece. See our comparison guide.
